2007 SIRC Annual Conference

Bonnie E. Carlson is currently focusing her research on a meditation intervention group for clients in treatment for substance abuse. Dr. Carlson helped start one of the first domestic violence programs in the country and has conducted research on family violence since 1974. Her areas of expertise include domestic violence; child abuse; incest; sibling abuse; dating violence and drug and alcohol abuse in women.
Dr. Carlson will join Arizona State University in August, 2007 as Chair of the Department of Social Work at the West Campus. She received her Masters degree in Social Work in 1974 and her Doctorate in Developmental Psychology and Social Work at the University of Michigan in 1980.
