Arizona Department of Health Services

Academic Detailing: The Academic Detailing program was focused on improving health outcomes for people in Arizona by supporting healthcare providers to adopt and practice evidence-based behaviors to improve patient outcomes.

Hepatitis C: The Hepatitis C program was focused on linking people with HCV within Arizona by leveraging existing public health surveillance and clinical data systems and to gather information regarding Hepatitis C to determine case count and severity in Arizona.

Overdose Data to Action (OD2A): Evaluated the state's community efforts regarding the opioid epidemic and how these efforts were perceived by individuals who suffered from opioid use disorder and their family and friends, along with their perceptions of stigma as it related to substance use and opioid use disorders.

Blackwater Community School, Gila River Indian Community

Evaluated the overall effectiveness of the Native Youth Community Project assuring grade-level reading proficiency.

Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe and PACTECH

Evidence-based program restructured and evaluated to establish evidence-based effectiveness of the Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe, K-12th grade child abuse and neglect program.

City of Phoenix

Phoenix Fast Track Cities Initiative: Participate on Ad Hoc Committee.

HIV Stigma Survey: Conducted data analysis and report writing on HIV Stigma Surveys.

HIV Stakeholder Summit: The purpose of the evaluation was to gather stakeholder input on current and anticipated HIV prevention and care needs in the City of Phoenix, identify service gaps and priorities, and inform concrete recommendations for future HIV service delivery and funding aligned with the Fast Track Cities goals. 

Governor's Office of Youth, Faith & Family 

Substance Abuse and Trauma Report: Used data to empower Arizona communities' trainings to coalitions and non-profit organizations presented around the state of Arizona. 

Maricopa County Department of Public Health

Coordinated Community Health Needs Assessment focus groups with medically underserved populations across Maricopa County.

Capacity Building grant Evaluation of the Collective STEP for Youth measured collaboration among youth serving organizations and success of efforts in providing capacity building assistance to agencies.

Health Literacy: Evaluated the adherence to COVID-19 public health practices in the targeted regions throughout Maricopa County. 

Overdose Data to Action (OD2A): Evaluated the efforts of the MCDPH regarding the opioid epidemic and how efforts were being implemented throughout Maricopa County. 

Tobacco Cessation: The evaluation methodology used a social determinants of health framework to identify community-level risk and protective factors, barriers, facilitators, and prevention strategies that can guide the implementation of an equity-focused tobacco prevention and cessation system in Maricopa County.

Phoenix Indian Center

College and Career Readiness program: Evaluated the program to assess the program and its efforts to support Native American students through dropout prevention, increased high school graduation, and college and career readiness initiatives. 

Community Needs Assessment

Native American Language Preservation and Maintenance Program: Evaluated the NALPM Program by examining participant feedback, survey data, and curriculum assessments to understand how the program supports Native language learning and preservation in Arizona.

Prevention Activities: Evaluate the needs and effectiveness of the Phoenix Indian Center's prevention programs in equipping American Indian and Alaska Native participants in the Phoenix metropolitan area with the knowledge and resources needed to maintain a healthy, drug-free, and resilient lifestyle.
